The Position
The eCommerce Business Development Manager works to identify and cultivate relationships to scale a book of business with emerging, high potential eCommerce / Omnichannel distributor partners. In this role, you will engage with targeted distributor partners to build and execute account strategies while also collaborating across all internal PCNA departments in order to deliver an exceptional customer experience for our distributor partners while generating profitable revenue growth at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate relationships to scale a book of business of high potential eCommerce / Omnichannel distributor partners.
- Lead and/or champion new revenue-impact opportunities that drive sell-through of PCNA products through distributors’ eCommerce channels.
- Leverage data and analytics, as well as “voice of customer” insights, to identify opportunities to develop /execute customer-centric strategies that drive profitable revenue growth and increase market share.
- Develop and maintain customer profiles to help identify emerging, high potential eCommerce distributors
- Build structured “horizons-based” plans to help drive scale with emerging partners.
- Ensure integration and partnership with the field sales team to develop eCommerce capabilities and strategies as part of overall account plans.
- Identify and build relationships with eCommerce stakeholders at distributors with online and offline sales channels.
- Work with internal teams (eCommerce merchandising, marketing, sales, etc.) to build and execute cohesive and compelling merchandising, demand generation and operational excellence plans and ensure the delivery of defined KPIs with targeted distributors.
- Serve as a champion for your distributors with internal cross-functional teams; identifying pain points and a pathway to removing barriers for eCommerce customers.
- Provide regular updates on key initiatives and sales performance of key distributors to internal stakeholders.
- Serve as an organizational subject matter expert for eCommerce related strategy and operations.
- Meet / exceed team performance goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and ecommerce trends; generate new ideas and content to engage various audiences.
- Embody the PCNA core values and serve as a steward of organizational change to build and integrate eCommerce practices and processes across functions (marketing, sales, finance, IT, etc.)
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to combine long term vision with day-to-day operational management
- Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies
- A keen working knowledge of eCommerce technologies and tactics
- Ability to effectively engage multiple departments
- Ability to motivate, inspire and drive a team to deliver executional excellence
- Solid communication skills and ability to build working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to interact successfully with customers, management and internal support staff
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- +3 years’ of B2B e-Commerce or digital sales experience; B2B supplier / twostep distribution experience preferred
- A demonstratable track record of growing revenue
- Must have strategic problem-solving skills with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute
- Proven track record of working with multiple departments and leading cross-functional, high performance teams
Physical Requirements:
The work environment is consistent with what is expected in an office setting, with no extremes of temperature, sound or lighting expected. Vision, hearing, speech and use of hands are required. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 20 pounds may be required. In addition, the job entails:
- Frequent sitting at desk for long periods of time;
- Infrequent standing for long periods of time;
- Public speaking
- Occasional travel
