You understand Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) are the backbone of a company’s cash flow and financial health, and you’re ready to put your knowledge to work.  American College of Radiology is searching for a dynamic Accounting Intern to join our AP/AR team. As an AP/AR intern,  you will use various accounting systems, producing the data that flows into our financials. You will gain a hands-on understanding of how the Accounting Department operates and provides front line in support for the organization. We’ll help you gain valuable work experience by enhancing your knowledge while cultivating the skills you need to be successful. Our department provides a positive work environment (virtually!). This internship will provide a deep dive into the Procure-to-Pay cycle, and how automation of these functions has become a critical business efficiency. You will learn about invoice lifecycle, review and approval controls, vendor relationships, and recording of expenses to the general ledger. You will also assist in the Order-to-Cash cycle, including creation and distribution of orders and invoices, payment receipt and application workflows, and payment processing and identification.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with daily operations in our order-to-cash and procure-to-pay functions
  • Assist with expense reporting function
  • Work closely with our Accounting Department leadership
  • Gain hands-on experience within accounting systems and workflows
  • Gain experience understanding how your accounting classes translate to a real-life business environment
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed

  • Current undergraduate student (Accounting, Finance, General Business majors preferred)

What to Expect:

    • We will be conducting interviews beginning in March
    • Our intention is to extend an offer for this opportunity by mid-April
    • Interns will join the team on May 22nd and conclude their experience on August 11th
    • Possibility of part-time internship extension based on performance

Work Location: This position will have a Remote schedule.  Preferred candidates will reside in the Eastern Time Zone so as to be able to work a 32.5 hour work week, Monday through Friday (8:30A - 5:30P EST) with every Friday afternoon off! Qualified candidates must have reliable internet service, professional discipline and have excellent time management skills.

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy.  ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably.  Interns work a 32.5 hour work week, from 5/19/25 - 8/8/25.  Depending on class level, a reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00.
