We inspire leaders to embrace new ideas and lead bold change. We foster collaboration that makes our health care system more accessible and affordable, more effective and equitable, and more proactive and personalized.

The selected candidate will join a fully remote, dynamic team that is responsible for developing content and programming that engages executive-level audiences across Health Evolution’s range of in-person and virtual events and initiatives. Health Evolution convenes two, large in-person events and several dozen virtual meetings each year:

  • Summit: The largest, most influential gathering of health care CEOs in America, which convenes each April in Dana Point, CA.
  • Connect: A gathering of CEOs and C-suite officers focused on implementing transformational strategies, which convenes each September in Nashville, TN.
  • Forum: Collaborative peer-learning Roundtables focused on broad areas of change and cohorts committed to taking action on specific cross-industry initiatives. The Forum convenes virtually throughout the year and in-person at both Summit and Connect.

Job Description

The Manager, Executive Communications is a critical and highly collaborative position on the content and programming team. The role is central to creating sophisticated, market-leading deliverables for CEOs and C-Suite executives across Health Evolution’s in-person and virtual gatherings. The Manager, Executive Communications works closely with the team’s Executive Vice President, Directors, and Senior Managers to support planning, creating, publishing, and promoting various content deliverables and thought-leadership pieces throughout the year, such as blog posts, recap articles, reports, frameworks, newsletters, infographics, and more.

Ideal candidates are skilled and experienced writers who are intellectually curious and highly motivated to help health care executives see complex challenges in a new light. They are effective communicators, both verbally and in writing, with an aptitude for creating organized, concise, insightful, and actionable summaries and thought pieces for an executive audience. They have excellent project management skills and a desire to work seamlessly with colleagues across teams to ensure content deliverables are drafted, designed, and published in a timely, efficient, and engaging manner. Successful candidates have strong attention to detail, organization, collaboration, and time management skills to effectively advance multiple projects at once.

Deep subject matter expertise in health care is not required, but ideal candidates have relevant knowledge of industry trends or experience in health care communications or journalism. While not required, ideal candidates also have experience with research and analysis, content marketing, and/or social media.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Develop, Publish, and Promote Insightful Executive Communications

  • Distill insights from Health Evolution convenings, interviews, surveys, and other sources to produce thought leadership content for Health Evolution’s website, social media, marketing materials, and newsletters.
  • Partner with Senior Managers and Directors to create market-facing content, such as reports and recommendations, to amplify impact across the industry.
  • Propose and experiment with different types of content—such as blog posts, social media posts, infographics, one-pagers, journal articles, etc.—to produce valuable and engaging content for an executive audience.
  • Coordinate with executives and their teams in Health Evolution’s community to create and promote thought leadership content.
  • Work with colleagues across Health Evolution to co-develop and support strategies for content promotion and marketing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Health Evolution to co-develop and support Health Evolution’s content strategy and annual content plans.
  • Perform secondary research to advance Health Evolution content and content-promotion objectives, including reviewing and synthesizing information from industry publications, news articles, and press releases.

Contribute to Programming Team Content and Operations

  • Collaborate with Senior Managers and Directors to identify engaging content opportunities and topics where cross-industry discussion will generate valuable insights.
  • Provide day-to-day content planning and execution support to Senior Managers and Directors, such as maintaining and monitoring content work plans, performing project tasks, documenting important actions and decisions from meetings, organizing project documentation, and working across teams—as well as with external stakeholders and vendors—to ensure project duties and deadlines are met.
  • Manage content project execution to drive toward defined milestones and goals, proactively identify potential challenges, and work with teammates to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Partner with team members to complete high-priority team projects, including providing input on annual content and programming agenda, drafting and refining external-facing materials, and developing shared internal processes and templates.
