Intern: Software Engineer

EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the software engineering team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO ore fully remote for the summer of 2025

Responsibilities

We offer a flexible internship that will allow you to learn our business from the ground up while working on a series of team and independent projects.

Work closely with the assigned team to create or establish processes and work on specific projects.
Research and plan a new project, create a budget for a new project, develop support materials, plan an event, manage a company blog, propose solutions to a current problem.
Backend Development (Python): Build and maintain RESTful APIs or microservices using frameworks like Flask or Django.
Frontend Development (Next.js & TypeScript): Create dynamic, responsive user interfaces with server-side rendering and static site generation.
AWS Services: Utilize AWS services to deploy applications, manage databases, and handle serverless functions.

What You're Working With:

Must be actively working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related field at a US accredited college or university.
Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience with SQL, JavaScript, Python a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience writing and editing documentation.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with using Microsoft Office products (Word) & G-Suite (Google Docs).
Must possess a professional yet enthusiastic and friendly demeanor.
Demonstrates a set of core values that includes integrity, drive, humility, and intelligence.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a positive manner.
