Job description

Job Summary:
In the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), Client delivers on its strategy by accessing supplier capability and innovation, managing risk, and driving operational efficiencies. In this role, you will support the Reporting and Analytics manager within GPO to develop, automate, and streamline data analysis processes used in Tableau dashboards.

Additionally, you'll act as a key subject matter expert for GPO performance metrics and partner with various cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights that drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with GPO leadership and stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and develop insights to enhance GPO performance.

Act as a subject matter expert for core business metrics across the Source to Contract process and systems, providing deep knowledge of data sources and generation.

Use Databricks to analyze, automate, and document data workflows; develop and modify Tableau dashboards to support data visualization and reporting.

Build, maintain, and enhance sourcing and contracting reporting metrics using tools like Alteryx, Databricks, Tableau, SQL, and Pyspark.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Responsible Sourcing, etc.) to deliver insights through data analysis.

Drive the development of the GPO roadmap for business performance metrics, recommending further automation and continuous improvement opportunities.

Serve as an administrator for key reporting and analytics systems, including Tableau, Databricks, Alteryx, and Unity Catalog, ensuring accurate user access.

Support digital enablement initiatives within GPO and collaborate with IS partners on system configuration and improvements.

Participate in testing activities for future implementations or enhancements of sourcing and contracting systems.

Provide global training, support, and guidance to team members on reporting tools and analytics systems.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Information Systems, Shared Services, or Data Science
OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Information Systems, Shared Services, or Data Science
OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Information Systems, Shared Services, or Data Science
OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in Data Science or Data Analytics, with a focus on insights that drive business performance.

Experience in an analytical role within Procurement, Finance, or similar functions, with proven ability to handle large, complex data sets.

Advanced knowledge of ETL tools (Databricks or similar), Pyspark, SQL, relational databases, and data visualization software (Tableau or Power BI).

Demonstrated capability in problem-solving, consulting, and managing large-scale, multi-functional projects.

Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights that support business objectives.

Experience preparing executive-level communications and presentations.

Ability to take initiative in an autonomous environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Skills/Competencies:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Intermediate coding skills (SQL and Pyspark preferred).

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Positive, proactive attitude towards work and adaptability to evolving requirements.

Nice to Have:

Technical writing skills.

Experience with Unity catalog, Amazon Redshift and Smartsheet.

Familiarity with sourcing and procurement metrics and industry benchmarks.

Degree or Certifications:

BS/BA preferred, though relevant work experience that meets the requirements above will also be considered.

This role is integral to driving data accuracy, compliance, and performance within GPO, making a direct impact on Client's operational and strategic goals.

Experience in the biotechnology industry is NOT required
