Horace Mann is a purpose-driven company that is passionate about educators.  We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Vice President, P&C Product to lead our Property & Casualty (P&C) Product Management and Pricing functions. This executive role will be responsible for driving financial impact, ensuring product profitability, and aligning business growth objectives with corporate strategy.

Key Areas of Impact Include: 

Strategic & Financial Oversight: Accountable for the overall P&C Product Management & Pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Product Growth & Profitability: Balance profit and growth objectives with distribution strategies to maximize corporate success.

Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor strategies, pricing, and underwriting initiatives.

Leadership & Execution: Act as a key executive leader, defining and evaluating strategic business issues and developing financial solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Underwriting, Claims, and Reserving teams, as well as key industry vendors (e.g., Verisk, LexisNexis, Guidewire).

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related business/insurance field required.
MBA preferred.
5–20 years of leadership experience in the insurance and/or financial industry.
Deep knowledge of insurance products, including actuarial concepts, product management, legal principles, and contract language.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational transformation.

Pay Range:

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
