Job description

Job Description:
This is an entry level position. The Research Specialist will follow internal operating standards for processing research results. This individual will determine, based on standard operating procedures, which search results should be retrieved. The individual will work cooperatively with internal clients and team members to efficiently process research requests. In addition, he/she will provide support to various departments and support special projects when directed by team leaders. This position reports to the Research Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate processing and reporting of search results, including regular updates on pending searches.
  • Coordination between clients and resources to ensure timely completion of all research results.
  • Processing search results with the utmost care and attention to detail.
  • Assigned tasks and projects within the internal department..

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to interpret data fields on inconsistent resource results forms.
  • Ability to independently prioritize daily activities and handle unexpected distractions.
  • Ability to quickly resolve systems or research related problems and manage workload interruptions.
  • Courteous and professional communication both on the phone and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and PC.

Required Skills:

  • Typing: 35+ words per minute (WPM).
  • Microsoft Office: Intermediate level.
  • Microsoft Outlook: Intermediate level.
  • Basic PC skills.
