Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 9AM to 6PM EST
 With 1 hour unpaid breaks

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage and maintain the company’s financial records with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have experience handling accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger management, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, profit and loss statements, and balance sheet preparation. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and expertise in full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable (AR):

    • Generate and send invoices.
    • Monitor payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
    • Record and reconcile customer payments.
  • Accounts Payable (AP):

    • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
    • Maintain accurate records of expenses.
    • Reconcile AP accounts.
  • General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate entries.
    • Ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
  • Bank Reconciliations:

    • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Fixed Assets Management:

    • Track and record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals.
    • Calculate and post depreciation expenses.
  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, etc.).
    • Assist in financial analysis and provide reports to management.
  • Compliance & Accuracy:

    • Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Support tax filings and audits as needed.


Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar tools).
  • Hands-on experience in AR, AP, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
