Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Technical Cybersecurity Program Office Director will oversee and lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive cybersecurity programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies, risk management, and program management principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale cybersecurity projects and leading cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong technical background in cybersecurity, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Job Functions

Lead Cybersecurity Initiatives:

Oversee and support key initiatives across various cybersecurity domains; collaborate with SMEs to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Project Management

  • Plan, manage, and oversee technically complex cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion.
  • Define technical project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed technical project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional technical project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and manage technical project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Ad Hoc Support As Needed

  • Support after-action reporting for incidents and issues, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE And QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 10 years in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Proven experience in managing complex cybersecurity projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
