ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
We are looking for a Sr. Website Operations Manager to join the US Vendor Marketing Operations team to accelerate the growth and success of our vendor-facing digital properties. In this role, you will assume ownership of the WeddingPro website including technical programming and development, day-to-day operations, testing, conversion, and optimization, and overall user experience management.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, this critical role will partner with both internal teams (demand generation, product and lifecycle marketing, creative and brand, data analytics, and engineering) and external agencies to deliver on website performance objectives. You will identify areas of opportunity based on data, insights, and industry best practices, develop testing plans to optimize the web experience for our vendors, and drive conversion rate improvements for the WeddingPro website/brand.
The ideal candidate has a technical background in website development, but is ready to take the next step in their career to drive and execute on a larger web strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be accountable to website channel goals that measure the impact of web experience on marketing-driven pipeline across all demand channels and conversion funnels (e.g. marketing qualified account conversion)
- Develop a site architecture and content model that showcases the value of WeddingPro products and resources in a personalized and relevant way
- Create a seamless, high-conversion journey through the site for all users, including both prospects and customers
- Partner with the internal SEO team and external agencies to grow organic web traffic, inclusive of site architecture updates, technical enhancements, content development, and keyword optimization
- Manage the workload and backlog for a team of external agency resources and in-house engineering and content partners to drive project planning, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing
- Partner with Marketing Operations to manage web data collection and the integration of the site into our martech ecosystem
- Optimize the WeddingPro online experience (traffic, conversion, revenue, visitor engagement, time on site, and technical site performance) to produce year-over-year improvements
- Partner with Data Analytics, Engineering, and Marketing Analytics teams to develop a web reporting framework that enables you to set benchmarks and derive data-driven insights on website health and performance to share with Marketing and business leadership
- Provide visibility and socialize program performance with actionable insights to key stakeholders across the organization
- Stay on top of web experience trends to communicate key insights in the B2B SaaS and wedding industries to the Marketing and Revenue teams
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
- 8-10 years of experience managing, developing, and optimizing websites
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience managing a high-traffic B2B SaaS website with a strong focus on lead generation through website forms and calls-to-action (CTAs) to drive conversion rate optimization (CRO); understanding of on-site e-commerce models a plus
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript preferred
- Keen eye for UI/UX design to identify areas for improvement and successfully translate design language between internal Creative stakeholders and external agency build resources
- Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), managing work in sprint and/or agile frameworks internally and with agency partners
- Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), block-based editors (e.g. Gutenberg) and other WordPress plug-ins (e.g. Gravity Forms)
- Familiarity with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Metabase), A/B and multivariate testing tools (Webflow Optimize), technical and content SEO, web QA, web data management, and domain/url management
- General understanding of web security best practices (SSL, encryption, authentication methods)
- Knowledge of global data privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL) and best practices for handling customer data in compliance with regulatory standards
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and/or Marketing Automation Platforms (Salesforce Marketing Suite, Marketo, HubSpot, etc.) a plus
- Understanding of modern web development frameworks a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions and implementing them independently
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and efficiently complete work toward set deadlines
