Job description

About the Role:

Thoughtworks is looking to hire a Content Operations Lead to support and strengthen our content efforts. In this role, we are looking for an experienced content strategist who can help lead and drive content operations and governance, build and implement our content AI workflows inline with overall AI strategy and work with cross-functional content teams to build maximum efficiency in our content processes. 

Job responsibilities
  • Content lifecycle management and governance: Leading and implementing Content Governance via review of the process, systems and workflows across the various content teams in close collaboration with content owners and tech.
  • Responsible for building content AI workflows across content teams, inline with our AI roadmap, for maximum efficiency & perform content audits, inventories and gap analysis across the website (copy relevance, tagging, metadata, accessibility requirements, retiring outdated content).
  • Create and maintain external and internal content tags and identity repurposing opportunities, based on relevance. Work with and advise GTM partner teams to extend the tagging framework to identify and support other use cases such as creating segments based on intent, personalized nurtures etc.
  • Audit and analyze competitor websites for tags and identify opportunities and make recommendations based on findings & apply tagging to our content repository including legacy content using AI tools as applicable. Explore integration with other AI tools to provide automatic suggestions when content is created.
  • Extend meta data and tagging conventions to the digital asset manager (DAM) and maintain it on an ongoing basis & build a framework that can be used by editors to manage version control and retiring older and irrelevant content routinely, work with the tech team to implement these recommendations and review it on a regular basis & work with the SEO team to ensure alignment with prioritized and optimized keywords.
  • Understanding content performance and metrics: Develop dashboards and reports for basic analytics and establish optimal performance metrics based on data of ‘what works’ drawn from our body of content.
  • Provide insights and input to cross-functional content teams on themes that are working and potential opportunity areas & archive and update content based on performance.
  • Editorial support: Support the web editor to continually optimize the processes necessary for efficient content creation, workflows, governance and content distribution.
  • Assisting in the management and initiation of translations and keeping regional editors up to speed with key content updates & work cross functionally with other content teams to ensure that there is constant coordination and communication of governance and workflows.
  • Training and enablement: Support content editors to ensure content is properly named, versioned, and tagged & create training material for editors to have access to this information & maintain and update the content digest highlighting the best content to ensure that the editors have access to these.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
  • Degree in English, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in content marketing, preferably in Content Operations.
  • Deep understanding of the tech B2B landscape and its unique content needs.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience with AEM an advantage. 
  • An understanding of the AI content tool ecosystem.

  • A can-do attitude and the willingness to thrive under tight timeframes and competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
