Strong background in IMS system programming including installation and upgrades., Proficient in troubleshooting IMS issues and managing IMS database environments., Experience with SMPE, SYSGEN, DBDGEN, PSBGEN, and ACBGEN processes., Familiarity with BMC IMS tools and IMS transaction manager resources..

Key responsabilities:

Install, diagnose, and upgrade IMS systems while ensuring optimal performance.

Analyze and maintain IMS database environment parameters and manage buffer pools.

Plan, test, and execute disaster recovery exercises for IMS installations.

Monitor and troubleshoot IMS address spaces to identify and resolve potential issues.

IMS System programming(Installation , diagnosis, upgrades, performance measurement, tuning, etc).
Excellent IMS troubleshooting skills.
SMPE(Subsystem and program product) experience.
Experience in the SYSGEN process.
Experience in DBDGEN, PSBGEN and ACBGEN.
Analyze and maintain IMS database environment parameters.
Design and management of all IMS bufferpools.
DR Exercise(Planning, Testing, and execution) for the IMS installation.
Log dataset management for IMS.
DBRC Management for IMS.
Managing IMS Transaction manager resources in an IMSplex env.
Monitoring and troubleshooting IMS address space for any potential issues.
BMC IMS tools.
