Job description

Bookkeeper 

Remote - Pay Range: $18hr - $22hr/1099

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong data entry skills and software proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Google Sheets to support our accounting operations. This contract position requires an organized professional who can efficiently manage high volumes of transactions and financial records. This position is a contract position averaging 20-30 hours per week, with weekly hours varying as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter daily financial transactions, including customer invoices, vendor bills, and expense receipts

  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, bill payments, and vendor statement reconciliation

  • Handle accounts receivable, including invoice generation, payment processing, and customer statement management

  • Maintain organized digital records of all financial documents and transactions

  • Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Enter and track employee expense reports and reimbursements

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures

  • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for financial tracking

  • Generate routine financial reports and transaction summaries

  • Support audit preparation by organizing and maintaining thorough documentation

Core Requirements & Qualifications:

  • This position requires candidates to be located in the US and legally authorized to work in the US

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience with high-volume transaction processing

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) required

  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets, including working with formulas and large datasets

  • Excellent data entry speed and accuracy

  • Experience with digital document management and filing systems

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with high-volume work

  • An organized and systematic approach to managing multiple deadlines

  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures consistently

  • Proficient in Google Suite applications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but equivalent experience considered
