This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
Daily catch-ups for 30 minutes to discuss progress and updates.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer/Drafter with experience using Rhino 3D (Robert McNeel & Associates software) for 3D modeling and drafting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of 3D design principles and be capable of creating accurate and detailed models. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Create 3D models and technical drawings using Rhino 3D.
Develop detailed CAD designs based on project specifications.
Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project teams to meet design requirements.
Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings and models.
Modify and update existing designs as needed.
Maintain file organization and documentation for design iterations.
Provide support and recommendations on design feasibility and improvements.

Requirements

Proficiency in Rhino 3D for 3D modeling and drafting.
Experience with technical drawing, rendering, and drafting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Knowledge of design principles, materials, and fabrication processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience with additional CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in architecture, industrial design, product design, or engineering.
Previous experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, or design firms.
Understanding of 3D printing and prototyping processes.
