Job description

  • Overview

 

The Associate Director, US Cell Therapy Marketing, will be responsible for the development and implementation of patient promotional strategies and tactics for AMTAGVI® (lifileucel), a first-in-class autologous T-cell therapy for advanced melanoma. The Associate Director of Patient Marketing will play a lead role on the marketing team and will be directly responsible for actions and tactics directed to patients to achieve overall brand goals. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of US Marketing.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead patient marketing strategy development and tactical execution to drive AMTAGVI® awareness and consideration
  • Identify and turn brand insights into actionable marketing activities/ initiatives that have a beneficial impact on the growth of the business
  • Lead all patient marketing content development and materials – including patient brochures, websites, testimonial videos, social media, etc.
  • Oversee and manage creative agencies
  • Partner with medical, legal and regulatory colleagues, following the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) SOP to develop promotional materials in a compliant fashion
  • Build relationships with patient advocacy organizations in partnership with cross-functional groups at Iovance
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and engaging key customer groups and other important internal and external stakeholders to gain insights to evolve brand strategy and communication
  • Manage promotional budgets
  • Establish metrics and track program effectiveness and ROI
  • Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

 

Travel

  • Must be able to travel up to 30%

 

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

  • 5-7+ years pharmaceutical experience in US marketing
  • Previous experience in consumer/patient marketing 
  • Oncology, cell therapy, and launch experiences
  • Strong leadership and communication skills required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and operational excellence competencies
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and executing successful promotional campaigns and marketing plans
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, nimble environment
  • Proven successful project management skills and attention to detail
  • Team-focused mentality

 

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

  • An exceptional track record, patient experience and digital marketing experience preferred
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business marketing or a related field highly desirable
  • Melanoma experience is preferred
