Job description

We are seeking a Benefits Analyst to support our team in managing day-to-day client needs. This role involves assisting with benefit strategy development, client goal alignment, and program selection to meet financial and operational requirements. Key responsibilities include data analysis, client reporting, RFP development, market analysis, and vendor implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to learn and understand employer-sponsored health and welfare plans, as well as the federal and state regulations that impact them.

Your Impact:

  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares information to support client requests and team activities, ensuring accuracy and peer review
  • Fully support Consultants, Account Executives and Account Managers, including assigned tasks such as Forms 5500, policy review, gathering monthly carrier reporting, updating appropriate software with client information (e.g., BenefitPoint, AMS, etc)
  • Assists in the project management of all assigned clients
  • Attends client meetings/conference calls regularly with team members
  • Proactively conducts research and produces financial analytics via collection, analysis and interpretation of data for client deliverables
  • Develops and assists in the execution of client RFPs via compilation and analysis of RFP results and follow up with insurance carriers
  • Reviews SPDs/contracts for technical accuracy
  • Research health and welfare compliance questions as necessary; works with the support of client team and other internal resources

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 0 - 3+ years of health & welfare experience, meets majority of core practice competency-based skills
  • Must have Life, Accident and Health Insurance license or be willing to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $ 51,800 -65,000 annually plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
