We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Aptive team as a full-time, seasonal HR Coordinator! This is a full-time remote position. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment, and excels working at an individual level.
Compensation: $20/hr
Location: In-person in Provo, UT
This position is seasonal.
Responsibilities include:
Initiate pre-employment background checks, including MVR and drug screenings
Review background check reports, Motor Vehicle Reports, and drug screening reports for pass or fail determination
Coordinate drug tests for candidates and interface with managers as necessary for assistance in process completion
Interface with background check vendor for purposes of ordering or re-ordering background checks, MVRs and drug tests and for providing additional information/documentation for individual candidates
Communicate with individual candidates for purposes of obtaining information as well as providing clarification and explanation of the background check process
Initiate post-accident drug tests for employees as requested by managers, and track progress from start to completion
Maintain spreadsheets to track progress of pending/incomplete background checks, failed background checks/MVRs/drug tests and when to issue Pre-Adverse Action and Adverse Action letters, as well as track missed drug tests
Attend weekly training meetings in Workday, as well as periodic training provided by the background check vendor
Attend weekly Regional Meetings as scheduled by Regional Managers
Create and conduct online training when needed to newly hired managers on background processes
Conduct audits of I-9 compliance
Files documents into appropriate employee files
Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience with background checks preferred
Required Skills:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with others. Ability to work efficiently in a high pace environment which includes deadlines. Thorough understanding of background check practices and procedure, with ability to train others in related practices and procedures.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality
Ability to work efficiently in a high pace environment with strict deadlines
Strong communication skills
Advance computer systems skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google suite, and Adobe suite.
Ability to learn and work with proprietary software
Great organizational skills
