Job description

What we are looking for:

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team.

 

The Business Analyst will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the success of a highly visible, results-driven client through the development of cloud-based systems.

 

Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. 

 

 

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

  • Elicit requirements with client stakeholders using various techniques.
  • Develop user stories, use cases, process models and other artifacts.
  • Convert business needs into functional requirements.
  • Work with senior-level management to answer data calls for upward reporting.
  • Lead and participate in meetings virtually with various team members and personnel.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take action items and meeting notes for dissemination.
  • Consult with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives.
  • Review and refine current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assist in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
  • Lead and/or participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
  • Create and/or lead the creation of technical and non-technical documentation (System Specifications, Architecture diagrams, User guides, training materials etc.).
  • Perform as a Scrum Master and servant leader for an agile team.
What you bring:

Experience, Education & Training: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must possess at least one agile or project management certification (Scrum Master, PMP etc).
  • 4+ years of experience gathering requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile methodologies for software development.
  • 3+ years of experience creating technical and non-technical documentation
  • 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting the United States Army Corps of Engineers (preferred)
  • Experience in both traditional waterfall project management and Agile methodologies (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency using Application Lifecycle Management tools (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office is required.
  • Experience with SharePoint & Power Platform strongly preferred.
  • Must be a team player, process-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to self-start, and multi-task multiple assignments and projects concurrently.
  • Position requires strong business/technical verbal and written communication skills.

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
