As the company’s dedicated bookkeeper, you’ll be at the forefront of their digital transformation, working with state-of-the-art online accounting systems like QuickBooks Online or Zoho. This position offers a unique blend of traditional bookkeeping tasks and modern financial management, allowing you to showcase your skills in data entry, account reconciliation, and financial record organization. Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the transition from desktop to online accounting software, ensuring smooth data migration and system setup
  • Manage and reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit cards, maintaining impeccable financial records
  • Conduct thorough and accurate data entry, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized
  • Perform regular account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive financial records, creating a robust system for easy retrieval and analysis
  • Collaborate directly with the business owner to address questions and provide financial insights
  • Implement efficient processes to clear the existing backlog of bookkeeping tasks, setting the stage for streamlined ongoing operations
  • Adapt to evolving financial needs, potentially transitioning between full-time and part-time roles as the workload stabilizes
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks, with a strong preference for experience in both desktop and online versions
  • Proficiency in Zoho or willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting software
  • Exceptional data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong background in account reconciliation and financial record management
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Excellent communication skills for clear collaboration with the business owner
  • Flexibility to work full-time (30-40 hours per week) with potential for part-time in the future
  • Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time business hours (9-to-5 schedule)
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new systems and processes
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information
