Job description

Remote Candidates must reside in California.

A family law and civil litigation office based out of Cupertino, CA is searching for a tech-savvy Employment Attorney to join their team in a remote position. They are looking for someone with 10 years of plaintiff employment law experience under their belt, particularly in civil rights, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower cases. Key duties include client communications, case follow-ups, attending hearings, acting as an expert witness, and overseeing paralegal work. This exciting role is perfect for attorneys who have run their own firms and are looking for the freedom to manage day-to-day activities with the trust and autonomy that come from remote work, all while staying connected to the pulse of the Bay Area s legal scene.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $250,000 / year DOE

Employment Attorney Requirements

  • 10+ years of Plaintiff Employment experience
  • Discrimination cases required (gender, pregnancy, disability, age, race)
  • Must have first-chair trial experience
  • Tech-savvy; proficiency with My Case CRM and RingCentral
  • Possesses California Bar admission
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Experience in state and federal courts is preferred
  • Extensive trial and pre-trial litigation experience, particularly in civil rights cases is preferred
  • Must reside anywhere in California, and willing to travel to the Bay Area as needed

Employment Attorney Responsibilities

    • Represent clients in San Francisco court, attending hearings and trials
    • Manage a caseload of 20-30 cases, including employment law, civil rights, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower cases
    • Conduct expert witness testimonies, depositions, and trial preparation
    • Oversee paralegals handling discovery and calendaring tasks
    • Maintain consistent client communication, providing regular updates via email and weekly calls
    • Review and approve discovery documents
