We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring efficient and effective systems implementation.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Identify opportunities for business or process improvement and make recommendations
• Update the knowledgebase with all new information to ensure documentation remains current and accurate.
• Identify and address technical challenges independently within squad(s), including feasibility studies, risk assessments, and gap analysis, while enhancing proficiency in problem-solving to contribute effectively to squad objectives
• Actively participate in building the squad backlog and support ongoing product backlog grooming and maintenance with the Squad Leader and Squad members
• Identify dependencies and verify their impact on scope, then discuss and update the ticket with SL and Squad members.
• Escalate any issues that impact the mission's OKRs and backlog.
• Ensure that the backlog items are well-defined, clear, and actionable
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
• Break down each Feature into high-level business requirements/ business process diagrams/etc. in preparation to share with the squad
• Develop and maintain comprehensive requirement artifacts
• Use various techniques like interviews, workshops, and document analysis to elicit requirements
• Communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders
• Work with Squad to breakdown high-level Stories to sprint-size Stories and Tasks in Squad backlog with clear purpose and scope defined to meet Feature objectives
• Lead sprint refinements to ensure alignment and clarity across squad members
• Define Detailed requirements and acceptance criteria based on capacity, feasibility, and dependencies
• Clarify acceptance criteria, provides detailed technical insights, clarifications and dependencies for prioritized Stories and Tasks
• Work closely with developers, architects, and system engineers to define and refine backend system requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical architecture.
• Document and map out system interactions, APIs, and data flows, ensuring backend systems integrate seamlessly with external services and frontend applications.
• Assist in designing and maintaining database schemas, ensuring they align with business requirements and support efficient backend operations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend processes, including workflows, API documentation, system architecture, and data specifications.
• Ensure backend systems adhere to industry regulations and compliance requirements specific to banking and credit card products (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).

• Strong experience in the banking industry, focus on credit card and banking products, including their design, launch, and lifecycle management is an important plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or related role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques and documentation creation
• Experience with data ingestion frameworks and technical design
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Knowledge of industry-standard business analysis tools and techniques
  
  

Additional Kudos If You Have…

• Strong understanding of backend architectures, databases, and system integrations, with hands-on experience in supporting and managing backend systems in the banking or financial industry.
• Proven experience in working with APIs, understanding microservices architectures and data analytics, especially in cloud environments.
• Strong experience in the banking industry, focus on credit card and banking products, including their design, launch, and lifecycle management is an important plus
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding cloud-native services for scalable backend development.
