If you are an expert in hot runners and controllers in the injection molding field, would like to learn from the best in the industry, are customer oriented and want to join our dynamic service team, this might a perfect opportunity for you! Our technicians are home based, required to travel to customer sites in their region and are eligible for a company vehicle. Satisfactory driver's motor vehicle record required.

Duties for this job include but are not limited to repair, assembly, and troubleshooting of Husky hot runners and hot runner controllers at customer facilities while working collaboratively with the factory-based customer support team and support customers calls when not on-onsite.

Key Responsibilities/Areas Of Accountability

  • Repair, assembly and troubleshooting of Husky hot runner and controllers
  • Provide observations, feedback, measurement data, and recommendations to factory support for next actions toward resolution and warranty determination
  • Review molding process parameters to optimize part quality and overall mold performance
  • Complete service reports to document hours, observations, and results
  • The position does require the successful employee to be able to lift 20kg

Qualifications

  • Degree in plastics or relevant technical college diploma preferred
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly and/or troubleshooting required
  • 5+ years injection molding experience, maintenance, and/or repair preferred
  • 2+ years as a process technician within the plastics machinery atmosphere
  • Previous experience with Husky hot runners (or similar) strongly preferred
  • Previous customer support experience strongly preferred
  • Hot runner and/or controller assembly, repair, and troubleshooting experience or proven strong mechanical aptitude
  • Use of measuring tools including electrical multi-meter, bore gauge, and micrometer
  • Basic understanding of the elements of mold design
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge/ understanding of Office pack
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Must be able to travel, and stand on feet for longer periods of time
