We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Market Development Manager (Property Design). This new business role is focused on leading national sales growth in our education property business. The successful candidate will drive and support the implementation of strategies to expand our business beyond our current footprint in Staffordshire and into new public sector property frameworks.
This role is pivotal to the growth of our business. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a proven track record of delivering growth within the public sector property arena. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current government frameworks and future trends, and will be adept at driving and supporting the implementation of growth strategies. Experience in leading national sales efforts and expanding business reach is essential.
As the Market Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth, developing and implementing strategies to expand into new public sector property frameworks, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to present ideas and concepts. Your ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the property sector will be crucial to your success. Given the national scope of this role, significant travel and overnight stays are expected What you'll be doing :
- A primary focus on developing multi-disciplinary property opportunities initially in the RIBA work stages 0-4
- Having a 'hand on' approach to nurturing clients' aspirations and developing opportunities to enable the client to commission the delivery team, drawing your architectural expertise.
- You will need to target/work with educators (schools, FE & HE), local government, blue light and housing developers to create/develop/identify opportunities.
- You will need to self-generate its own leads and opening and therefore open opportunity across the target sectors
- Provide initial master planning design input to a wide range of clients to nurture opportunities
- Creating sales forecasts with a demonstrable plan to achieving working them, through activities such as:
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships
- Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
- Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
- Developing relationships with current clients to leverage new business opportunities
- Pitching concepts and products to new and existing clients
- Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
- Collaborating with design teams to ensure that the requirements are met
What we're looking for :
- Extensive Public Service Property Design Experience:
- Demonstrated background in public service property design with a proven track record of driving growth in this sector.
- Master Planning and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Proficient in master planning and adept at presenting ideas and concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Business Development Expertise:
- Experience in business development within a property setting, with a focus on identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
- Sector-Specific Knowledge:
- Experience working within the education sector is highly desirable, reflecting our key market focus.
- Sales, Account Management, and Marketing Proficiency:
- Strong background in sales, account management, and marketing, with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Credibility and Network:
- Established credibility with senior decision-makers and a robust network of contacts to build a strong pipeline.
- Commercial and Financial Acumen:
- Commercially astute and financially aware, with the ability to manage budgets and financial performance effectively.
- National Role Requirements:
- Willingness to undertake significant travel and overnight stays, as the role encompasses national responsibilities.
