Overview:

Flexible Worker Contract 

Location: Remote

 

About the role

 

We’re seeking Examiners for the T Level in Education and Early Years to join our Assessment Delivery team on a flexible worker contract.

 

How you'll make an impact:

  • Marking external assessments as required and submitting results using our systems within set timescales 
  • Following and maintaining the standard set by the Chief Examiner, applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately
  • Reporting suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team
  • Attending examiner standardisation and training events, and other meetings as required – standardisation  events will be scheduled for weekdays between the hours of 9.00am-5.00pm
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence and learner details, and report any breaches to the Assessment Delivery team 

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:  

  • A professional qualification (at Level 4 or above) in the education sector
  • Current/recent teaching experience in the sector/subject at level 3 or higher, or at least 3 years employment in the education sector
  • An understanding of effective quality assurance mechanisms
  • The ability to work consistently within tight deadlines

Interview Date: We’re running regular group recruitment sessions for this position. 

 

Our interview process is designed to be both insightful and interactive, giving you a real taste of what it's like to work with us. Here's what you can expect:

  1. Pre-task: You'll complete a short pre-task where you'll mark 2-3 student responses.
  2. Discovery session: You'll join a group discussion led by one of our Chief Examiners. This is a collaborative space where you'll discuss your initial markings and gain valuable insights.
  3. Practical Task: After the group discussion, you'll apply what you've learned by marking an additional 2-3 student responses. This hands-on experience will help you understand our standards and expectations.
