We’ve built a system powered by a smart algorithm that aggregates data from a variety of sources including energy usage, solar power, electric vehicles, and market rates to help users save and earn from their energy consumption. As a Data Scientist at Bliq, you will play a pivotal role in transforming home energy management by developing and refining algorithms that not only push the boundaries of innovation but also promote sustainability. You will be working at the core of a dynamic team, collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to drive real-world solutions in energy management. Your insights will directly influence how we approach energy consumption patterns, enhance system performance, and improve user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and refine algorithms aimed at enhancing the performance and efficiency of home battery systems, ensuring they are both smart and sustainable.
• Use your expertise to predict energy consumption and production patterns, influencing strategies related to energy distribution, conservation, and optimization.
• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to inform data-driven decision-making processes.
• Present complex technical concepts and data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on goals and strategies.
• Tackle complex challenges in energy management, applying innovative solutions to optimize system performance and improve user experience.
• Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of data insights into products and services.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our smart battery software, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry advancements and aligns with our sustainability goals.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in data science 4+ years , with a focus on forecasting and adapting to changing energy consumption patterns.
• Expertise in developing algorithms and analyzing large datasets to generate insights and drive business decisions.
• Familiarity with energy management systems and IoT  technologies is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in small, collaborative teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.
• Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to meaningful, real-world change.
