Position Description
The goal of the Marketing Director is to maximize revenue, increase customer engagement, and position new and existing products and product lines for success through an effective and dynamic marketing strategy across wholesale, Amazon, and ecommerce sales channels.
Primary Accountabilities
Marketing Strategy
Develop omnichannel marketing strategy (wholesale, Amazon, e-commerce) that adapts continually to trends, competitor strategies, tools, platforms, and industry best practices to ensure that the company meets growth targets
Create and execute targeted marketing plans that align with overall company objectives and address the unique needs of wholesale buyers and distributors
Implement a loyalty program and develop an omnichannel strategy that leverages the program to increase revenue, customer retention and customer lifetime value
Maintain a marketing calendar that includes product launches, licensing activations, holidays, and key promotions that helps to inform strategy and drive new business
Continually track sales across all channels and analyze campaign performance to draw actionable insights and identify data-driven optimizations and new opportunities
Conduct market and customer research and competitor analysis to inform pricing, product development, and marketing strategies and to maintain competitiveness across brands and sales channels
Brand Management and Customer Engagement
Maintain cohesive branding across affiliate, social (paid and organic), and email marketing campaigns and across sales channels
Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer reach, and engagement through social media, email marketing, PR, and other channels
Oversee and grow our social communities on Discord, Reddit, and emerging channels
Develop new product launch strategies and related brand and product campaigns that maximize immediate and long term engagement, excitement, and sales across our channels including Wholesale, e-commerce, and Amazon
Develop and execute a high-engagement social media strategy that keeps the brand relevant and generates viral moments through deep understanding of social platforms and customer behavior
Collaboration
Create and curate content across sales channels that resonates with target audiences and enables sales to effectively pitch to buyers
Provide creative direction to ensure that all visuals (graphics, photography, videography, etc) maximize appeal
Manage large-scale cross-functional campaigns (such as crowdfunding) to maximize engagement and meet revenue targets
Manage relationship with marketing agency to ensure that plans align with business objectives and that campaigns are designed to drive profitability
Team Management
Provide regular feedback, coaching, and goal-setting to drive performance and engagement
Communicate business priorities, direction, and announcements with team to support organizational alignment
Ensure that all work meets expected quality standards across all functions to demonstrate dependability and maintain trust throughout the organization
Conduct regular team, reporting/lessons learned meetings, and root cause analysis meetings to solve problems and drive continuous improvement
