Your Role on Our Team:
The Professional II (L4) Learning Design is focused on leading design projects for key training, including leadership development, marketing training, engineering training, and sales training. It is housed in the Shared Services team who is responsible for supporting the training and development function with critical support, including Digital Training, Training Operations, and Learning Design.

Examples of duties and responsibilities:
• Drive process and approach to learning design for Milwaukee Tool, including consulting with T&D leadership and teams on projects, assisting with the direction of key projects. Key projects may include:
• Creation and management of SOP (Standards of Practice)
• Lead internal upskilling for facilitation and design, including Internal Training Certificate, T&D onboarding, and train-the-trainer experiences
• Consult on key functions of LMS evaluation module design and execution to ensure correct measurement is occurring (i.e. Learning Objectives)
• Utilize ADDIE model to lead design projects of high-impact training solutions. Consult and manage relationship with SMEs to inform projects.
• Provide management support within the LMS including creation of eLearnings, learning plans, training materials, and other support as needed

Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Work is reviewed upon completion and is consistent with departmental objectives.

Collaboration & Interaction
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages that relate to the wider firm business. Frequently advises others on complex matters. May be accountable through team for delivery of tactical business targets.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Level 4: Eight (8) years' experience in relevant work is optimal for success in the role (Instructional Design, Training & Development, Education, or relevant experience)

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience in place of a degree).

  • Significant application of content creation software (i.e. Articulate) and/or other eLearning software is required. Significant use of ADDIE or other frameworks

  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, attention to detail and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite – Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
