We are currently seeking a Sales Specialist who will be responsible for selling the Beckman Coulter liquid handling product line in the Cambridge area.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Development and management of sales territory – the candidate will need to balance their time between finding new opportunities in new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing customers. The territory itself includes Cambridge, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Birmingham.
Achieving the quarterly and annual revenue targets – the target will include hardware, consumables and ancillary products. You will manage sales from initial scoping through to closure and provide accurate forecasting of future business to your manager.
Development and presentation of customer solutions – most liquid handling systems are customised for individual laboratories and processes. You will need to work with the scientists in a consultative manner to design the best solution for that customer.
Maintenance of customer databases – managing long term complex sales of high value equipment requires good management of databases. Timely updating of our customer relationship management software is crucial to our processes and communication across departments.
The required qualifications for the job include:
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or higher in Biological Sciences or a related science.
2 years scientific sales experience preferred; however, candidates with no previous sales experience but having relevant experience with Beckman Coulter automation will also be considered.
Full driving license
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Laboratory experience in biological sciences (Academic/Biotech or Pharma)
