Job description

About the Role

The Human Resources Specialist role supports key human resources functions encompassing a range of responsibilities such as onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This position demands a high level of critical and analytical thinking, exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail. 

Reports to: HR Generalist
Pay Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Responsibilities
  • Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies to employees.
  • Maintain and update employment records within HR systems
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes within HR systems
  • Support an engaging and comprehensive onboarding program for all new hires
  • Complete the I-9 and eVerify verification processes
  • Support the HR team with measurement and reporting activities
  • Assist with business priorities as required
Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other relevant discipline required

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR preferred  
  • Knowledge of computer software programs (e.g., MS Office) and willingness to learn new systems 

SKILLS 

  • Strong problem solving, reporting, communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent judgment in handling confidential, legal, or sensitive information
