Role Name: Bookkeeper

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

Embark on an exciting opportunity as a full-time remote Bookkeeper for a dynamic dental clinic in Sydney. This role offers a unique blend of financial management and healthcare industry exposure. Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Craft comprehensive monthly management reports that offer clear insights into the clinic’s financial performance
  • Conduct in-depth financial data analysis, providing explanations for trends and anomalies
  • Execute general journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with clinic management to maintain impeccable financial records
  • Contribute to financial decision-making processes by offering data-driven recommendations
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial best practices tailored to the dental industry
  • Stay abreast of relevant accounting standards and regulations in the Australian healthcare sector
Requirements
  • Proven track record in bookkeeping, with a preference for experience in healthcare or service industries
  • Robust understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly those relevant to medical practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance team members
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software and willingness to adapt to clinic-specific tools
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong connections with the team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements for medical practices is a plus
