We are seeking an experienced and strategic FP&A Director to lead the financial planning and analysis function for our Canada practice and play a pivotal role in standing up our Managed Services practice. This leader will serve as a trusted financial partner to key stakeholders, driving financial performance, business insights, and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on stakeholder management, project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and client service.

Essential Duties

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leadership: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the Canada practice and the emerging Managed Services practice.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial models to track the financial health of the Canada practice and Managed Services unit, proactively addressing risks and opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary finance partner to practice leaders, business unit heads, and corporate finance teams, providing insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.
  • Business Unit Expansion: Lead financial coordination and support for the establishment and scaling of the Managed Services practice, ensuring sound financial structures, reporting mechanisms, and operational controls.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Accounting, Systems, and other finance sub functions to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of financial activities.
  • Client Service Focus: Provide high-quality financial support and advisory services to business leaders, ensuring their needs are met with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Accounting or Finance major – Strongly Preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and financial partnership with senior leadership.
  • Experience standing up or scaling a new business unit within a larger organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and manage competing priorities.
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and business analytics.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working across finance subfunctions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, etc.) to align financial strategies.

EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably in a professional services or managed services environment.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Experience leading high performing team members
  • Experience working with offshore teams

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $122,800 - $217,300

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
