Business Analyst

 

Location: Parramatta (2-3 days in the office)
Full-time, Ongoing Opportunity
Grade 7/8-
$110,266 - $122,058 p.a. + superannuation and annual leave loading
Flexible work practices including work from home, flexible working hours, 35-hour week and flex leave

 

 

Your role
 

The Business Analyst in the Community Services Statewide Services Division supports the Principal Business Analyst through a focus on analysis of financial and staffing reports and data.

The role is responsible for finance management across large and varied workplaces within the District, supports compliance with policy and procedure in the department, and the preparation and distribution of financial reporting.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll have demonstrated experience with, but not limited to:
 

  • Analysing complex financial data against budget and reviewing staffing reports.
  • Forecasting in line with unit’s operational activities.
  • Month end process such as journals and accruals.
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports to Directorates.
  • Implementing best-practices to comply with financial policies and guidelines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAPGUI essential.

 

To be successful you will possess an analytical mind, have an eye for detail, have Excel skills that understand complex formulas, and have a proven track record in supporting and guiding staff through financial processes.

  • Someone with experience in preparing and analysing reporting to provide meaningful responses to staff in units who may not have strong financial literacy.
  • Someone flexible, adaptable and experienced in working in complex environments and agile business framework.
  • A self-motivated person who is committed to delivering quality budget outcomes with a proactive and collaborative approach.
