Job Title: Private Investigator (Wausau Area)

Job Overview

TIG Risk Services, a reputable national investigative firm headquartered in Destin, Florida, is actively seeking a licensed Private Investigator in the Wausau area. Our firm has been serving the insurance, government, and legal sectors for over 23 years, specializing in surveillance and investigative services for various claims, including worker’s compensation, auto liability, general liability, and long and short-term disability.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance work on worker’s compensation, auto liability, general liability, and disability claims.
Perform activity checks and comprehensive background investigations.
Compile detailed reports based on surveillance activities and findings.
Maintain transparent communication with clients regarding investigative progress and outcomes.

Required Skills

Minimum of two years of surveillance experience.
Familiarity with Special Investigations Unit (SIU) functions, including statement collection and scene inspections.
Proficient in report writing and possess strong verbal communication skills.
Capability to execute both stationary and mobile surveillance in diverse environments, including high-crime areas.
Comfortable engaging in pretext investigations.
Must hold an active Private Investigator License in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

Active Private Investigator License in Wisconsin is mandatory.
At least two years of relevant surveillance experience is required.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is advantageous.
