About the role
Reporting to the National Government Relations Manager, you will partner with Regional Faculty Managers to deliver state-level advocacy strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and create high-quality advocacy materials to support RACGP’s strategic goals. In collaboration with Regional Faculty Managers you’ll engage with, Ministers, officials, and other key stakeholders to advance policy initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
In this role, you'll also:
Develop and support the Regional Faculties delivery of state-focused government relations strategies in alignment with the RACGP Advocacy Plan 2024–25.
Support the development of high-level relationships with Ministers, elected officials, departmental representatives, and other stakeholders.
Draft and oversee high-quality advocacy materials, including briefs, submissions, and position statements, to advance RACGP objectives.
Provide expert advice, support strategic initiatives, and coordinate advocacy campaigns and events to achieve organisational goals.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in government relations or advocacy.
Strong knowledge of Australia's healthcare and general practice.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
