Director of Pharma Sales, Media Job Description

As Director of Pharma Sales, Media your primary responsibility is to drive revenue through developing new business opportunities, pipeline development, lead generation and promotion of all product offerings across multiple channels, that meet client’s business needs.

Note: This role sells into pharmaceutical manufacturers and agencies, focusing on building relationships, driving revenue and delivering value.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and identify potential pharmaceutical manufacturers, brands or agency clients through research, networking and cold outreach
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients by understanding their business needs and delivering customized solutions
  • Drive revenue growth with whitespace and new accounts and support VP level seller with their current book
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets while maintaining high level of client’s satisfaction
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of all products to effectively communicate benefits and value-add to clients.
  • Accurately forecast revenue within account base
  • Act as primary contact for assigned accounts, ensuring all day-to-day needs are met
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of the client
  • Qualify leads, schedule meetings and manage follow-ups to move prospects through the sales funnel
  • Maintain open communication with client on program status, implementation, proposals, and account details
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape and market dynamics
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales progress, and pipeline activity in the CRM system (HubSpot)
  • Lead the negotiation with clients and ensure favorable terms for both the company and the client
  • Work closely with internal departments to align sales efforts, ensure proper product positioning and optimize client satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare client reporting, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Associate degree in business or other related field. Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, digital brand marketing, medical-tech or pharma-tech agency sales preferred
  • Experience with SaaS and Service sales models
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Experience with CRM applications, HubSpot preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel within territory
