As we embark on our journey to accelerate our Cloud adoption, we are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud & Network Architect to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and network solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based applications and services.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Design
- Develop and implement cloud architecture strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Create detailed architectural diagrams and documentation to communicate design decisions and processes.
- Cloud Network Architecture
- Design and maintain Azure network architecture, ensuring seamless integration with Azure Services and on-premises. It should cover all Network Services including Virtual Networks, VPN Gateways, and ExpressRoute, load balancers etc.
- Integration and Migration
- Develop roadmaps and assist in the migration of on-premises applications and services to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with application teams to integrate cloud services with existing systems and workflows.
- Security Implementation
- Establish security protocols and best practices for cloud deployments, including identity management, access controls, and data encryption.
- Disaster Recovery Planning
- Design and provide support to teams implementing disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability in case of outages.
- Cost Management
- Develop strategies for cost optimization in cloud spending, including resource tagging, budgeting, and usage monitoring.
- Collaboration and Leadership
- Act as a Cloud Architect lead for cloud-related projects, guiding teams through the architecture and implementation phases.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate team members on cloud technologies and best practices.
- Present Infrastructure blueprints at Architecture Review Boards and get approval from committee.
- Maintain and communicate Cloud Infrastructure Architecture policies and principles
- Research and Development
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
- Experiment with new tools and services to enhance cloud capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Present architectural proposals and project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Microsoft Azure. AWS experience is an advantage.
- Proven experience in designing and managing network solutions.
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
- AWS Certified: AWS Solution Architect Professional
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Security).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Python, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Understanding of data center, VMware infrastructure, database and middleware technologies is an asset.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
