Responsibilities:

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Direct the financial accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and capital expenditures.
Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and market trends.
Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
Work with leadership team to expand the company, globally.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
CPA Designation required
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a CFO role.
Proven experience in the insurance industry, preferably within an MGA or similar environment.
Any experience with out of country expansion is a strong asset
Strong understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive results and manage change.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Must reside and be authorized to work in Canada.

Salary Range - $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 CAD annually

The compensation range reflects a data-driven estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment. Individual pay may vary based on geographic location, job related skills, knowledge, experience, education etc
