This position is able to be a remote work from home position. Must live in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee or Texas to be considered.
Summary Serve as the Oracle subject matter expert in the organization. Coordinates physical changes to computer databases; and codes, tests, and implements physical database by performing the following duties. Oracle DBA/Developer with the ability to administer large mission critical Oracle Enterprise Edition databases. Position also requires administration tasks to be performed on the Data Warehouse Oracle DBMS. This position will take direction from the Database Administration Team Lead and Summit Racing Equipment IT management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of all Oracle databases.
Perform installations of updates, patches, and upgrades to the installed Oracle products.
Build and tune databases, setup and implementation of backup and recovery procedures, tuning SQL and PL/SQL, and writing procedures.
Develop, review, approve, apply and test any changes and/or modifications to relational database file definitions and schemas.
Work with others to design, implement, and support interfaces with existing business systems.
Responsible for troubleshooting database and application interface performance issues.
Work closely with network, security, and systems administrators to optimize databases and related components.
Provide database architecture and design expertise as part of development project teams.
Maintain relationship with Oracle and act as first point of contact regarding technical issues.
Provide primary support for all Oracle products.
Help IT provide day-to-day (24/7) support for users, applications, and databases.
Develop support procedures and cross train members of the System Development and other support teams.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Information Technology. Minimum of 5 years working with a large UNIX environment (Linux/Solaris/HPUX systems preferred) in a high demand-based, service-oriented environment. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an SQL relational database environment (Oracle preferred).Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Data Warehousing environment. Microsoft SQL Server experience is a plus. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require sponsorship for employment.
