About The Role

GEICO is hiring a Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join their Claims Innovation team. The Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for driving the competitive intelligence function and supporting strategic initiatives for GEICO Claims. The Lead Analyst will develop and implement competitive intelligence strategies, processes, and tools to enhance the company’s competitive position. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, experience in competitive intelligence, and the ability to influence strategic decisions. This role reports directly to the Head of Claims Innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting advanced analysis of market trends, competitor strategies, industry developments, and emerging threats
  • Researching and analyzing the competition and their product mix, identifying and communicating trends, competitive forces, and penetration/segmentation strategies
  • Making informed assumptions to determine probability of different scenarios, and translating findings into recommendations that proactively drive operational, tactical, innovative and strategic business decisions
  • Managing competitive intelligence projects from inception to completion
  • Developing and implementing competitive intelligence strategies, processes, and tools
  • Ensuring the continuous improvement of competitive intelligence practices

  • Continuously monitoring and analyzing industry news, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Communicating complex findings effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive competitive intelligence database
  • Developing visualizations and dashboards to present data in an easily understandable format

About You

Skills & experiences:

  • Experience and depth in a competitive intelligence or similar role, preferably within P&C insurance (3+ years preferred)
  • Demonstrated competence in competitive intelligence methodologies, processes, and principles
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data analysis, data synthesis, SWOT analysis, and data driven recommendations
  • Advanced skills in researching and analyzing market insights using databases and analytical processes for customer/marketing-related analytics.
  • Capable of working independently and with a team, possessing a unique blend of technical, business, and strategic thinking skills
  • Exhibit the ability to quickly absorb and develop domain knowledge in specific technologies and industries 
  • Strong analytical skills and visual presentation capabilities with an understanding of how to interpret data/information

Annual Salary

$100,450.00 - $157,850.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
