Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously.

Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client fitness level and skills et to plan reachable goals
  • Educate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury prevention
  • Create a training plan tailored to client needs
  • Chart and track client progress
  • Motivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagement
  • Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
  • Educate clients on evidence based exercise programming.
  • Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with the entire clinical team

  • Exercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology (Master's degree preferred).
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training.
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively.
  • Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a high volume of patients across timezones
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus and will be compensated for
