Job description

As a Document Associate, you will be responsible for new business testing and output verification and creating and updating documents. This position is also responsible for quality assurance and daily production review.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities of a Document Associate:

Input testing data for new business policies and complete initial unit testing verification of output.
Create and update documents utilizing word processing software for the Product Filing department and for contract change policies.
Administer new business regression testing.
Provide quality assurance for daily production review of Company correspondence and identify cases in need of corrections.
Other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned by management.

Required Skills & Experience of a Document Associate:

1-2 years experience in a professional office setting required.
Experience in document development and testing helpful.
Experience in the life insurance industry, including familiarity with terminology helpful.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Strong problem solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent data entry skills.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.

Education Required: Associates degree in Business required. Degree in related field of study is acceptable.

Pay Range: $20.26 to $26.10 hourly

The level of this position will be determined based on factors including relevant skills, experience and other qualifications.

This is a hybrid eligible position with remote work consideration.

SML supports remote work for NY, PA, NJ, CT, MA, AL, FL, TX, OH, MN, IN, GA, IL, IA, AZ and NC. This position cannot be performed in the City of New York.
