Job description

The Merchandising Strategist is responsible for learning and mastering best in class ecommerce skills in the area of product content and onsite merchandising. This position requires keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills. The Merchandising Strategist should be organized, have a passion for selling & showcasing product, be an innovative thinker and have strong copywriting skills.

Your daily tasks will entail:
  • Works with the rest of the team to document process & outline best practices regarding our best in class on site merchandising strategies

  • Reviews marketplace competitors to stay up to date on merchandising trends

  • Creates a standard approach and methodology for optimal on site merchandising

  • Use analytics and reporting tools to build reports and analyze metrics to find opportunities to improve merchandising and the customer experience across the various sales channels & product categories

  • Reviews product/category selling weekly to ensure merchandising tasks for the week are aligned with the trends in the business

  • Update featured products and product sort order on various sales channels 

  • Update and maintain top navigation and layered navigation to increase conversion 

  • Write compelling product and website content using the tone of the brand for user conversion and SEO purposes.  Coordinate with the marketing team if content support is needed. 

  • Update amazon product listings with A+ content, keywords, enhanced titles and bullets. 

  • Cataloging on all channels 

  • Regularly test and conduct quality checks on the site, report findings and work with team members to improve UX & conversion

What we expect from you:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2+  years experience in an e-commerce setting or retail setting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Extremely detail-oriented

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment

  • Project Management experience
