Role Overview:
This role combines responsibilities in Data and Analytics (D&A) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at Healthcare & Life Science CIOs and vendors selling into the healthcare provider market.
The Senior Director Analyst will provide research and advisory insights to help organizations leverage data, analytics, and AI to deliver business value and improve healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Content Creation: Develop high-quality, actionable research content on Data and Analytics, AI topics within Healthcare or Life Science Organizations. Collaborate with other Gartner analysts to identify trends and tailor insights for clients.
Client Engagement: Represent Gartner’s brand and research when presenting or talking to healthcare provider or life science senior executives through professional interactions, live inquiries, and face-to-face meetings. Provide insight that support client business decisions and provoke thought through engaging communication.
Publication and Communication: Write and publish analysis, positions, and insights regularly. Communicate Gartner research with authority and clarity to diverse audiences.
Thought Leadership: Establish research positions across teams and demonstrate thought leadership in both D&A and healthcare sectors.
Growth and Influence: Contribute to growth efforts through Proof of Concepts to attract and retain clients. Deliver compelling presentations to large and small audiences, both live and via social media.
Sales Support: Provide sales support, serving as the voice of the market to help research teams create content and drive client engagement.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 15 years as an MSE CIO or senior level ideally in healthcare provider organization - focusing on enterprise value creation through data and analytics or AI programs. Proven track record of effective leadership and collaboration with senior executives.
Skills: Excellent research, analysis, writing, and collaboration skills. Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and deliver executive-level presentations. Strong project planning, leadership, and management skills.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or advanced professional qualification in an IT, D&A or healthcare field. A Master’s or Ph.D. in a related discipline is advantageous.
Communication: Exceptional and articulate communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply and effectively. Strong storytelling ability.
Analytical and Influencing Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to influence others. Strong team-working ethos and ability to lead and manage projects.
Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with RCM and PHM processes, vendor landscapes, and the application of AI/ML and automation technologies in healthcare.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 152,000 USD - 190,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
