Job Title - Product Engineer
Division - Weir Minerals
Location - Bangalore, India
Hybrid

Purpose of Role: To assist in the design and detailed development of a new product in the mill circuit line.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to Weir’s zero-harm behaviours in support of the drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Collaborating with the Global product managers, Technology Groups, Sales, and cross-functional teams from Factory on projects related to new product development (NPD), value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), sustenance engineering, and performance analysis.
Experienced in concept design and prototyping on component and system level
Perform engineering calculations and simulations for design validation.
Assists manager in departmental quality process and compliance.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Education Qualifications:

Diploma (or) B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, preferably in a related industry.

Job Knowledge

Experienced in Mineral processing equipment in Mill circuit
Concept design, Detailed design/engineering of equipment and well versed in manufacturing process.
Engineering calculations for design and analysis
Strong engineering fundamentals
Knowledge of NPI/NPD, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFx,
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requires a good working knowledge of CAD preferably UGNX and PLM systems preferably Teamcenter
Strong understanding of product lifecycle and engineering processes.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
