Position Title: People Services Representative
Reporting to: Manager, People Services
Department: Human Resources
Work Location: Costa Rica
Classification: CR (Exempt)
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing clear and accurate information in both English and Spanish, ensuring effective communication and support.
Provide guidance to employees and managers on interpreting company policies, workplace expectations, and professional development opportunities.
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts by facilitating discussions and supporting mediation processes when necessary.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws for employees while ensuring alignment with company policies.
Ensure clear communication and consistent application of company policies across teams, departments, and external parties such as clients, verifiers, or auditors.
Monitor compliance with company policies and labor laws through regular audits and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of necessary documentation, including issuing official letters and attestations for internal and external clients, while coordinating with relevant teams to maintain smooth processes and compliance with company standards.
Access, utilize, and share employee records responsibly, ensuring adherence to company standards and legal requirements.
Support performance management processes by monitoring review progress, guiding managers on systems, and ensuring completion of action items.
Coordinate or assist in delivering training sessions related to People Services procedures, policies, compliance, or professional development.
Collaborate on and lead People Services projects, including employee engagement initiatives, process improvements, compliance audits, and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
Act as a point of contact during emergencies or crises, assisting with employee support, communication, and coordination of resources.
Generate and analyze People Services reports and metrics to inform decision-making and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Utilize Workday, Salesforce, and other HR systems to optimize workflows, manage employee data, and generate actionable reports.
Partner with the People Services internal teams and other departments to address employee relations concerns and cultivate a supportive workplace culture.
Support LLS’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures, and services and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
Experience: 1-3 years in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related experience is required.
Education: An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.

Required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees and external parties at all levels.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
A high level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with care.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex employee relations issues effectively.
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Familiarity with U.S. employment laws and regulations.
Experience with HR systems such as Workday and Salesforce.
A legal background or knowledge of compliance requirements.
