We are seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with a list of scheduled initial deployments of containerized services that would result in the initial staging of the new service on the specified OCP cluster (development, testing, or production).
Responsibilities:
- Help cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery culture.
- Help administrate and/or enhance our DevOps release management pipeline for Kubernetes platforms (e.g., build, staging, testing, production) focused on enhancing on-going production operations.
- Troubleshoot delivery automation issues and find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner.
- Develop CI/CD specific KPIs to ensure delivery performance is tracked against expected delivery timelines.
- Manage multiple delivery pipelines assisting the development teams where necessary while ensuring high quality solutions.
- Help manage workloads across our private, and semi-private cloud environments.
- Experience with platform security including working with service accounts.
- Manage the hardware components in an OCP environment and/or work with hardware engineers to implement or troubleshoot deployments.
- Manage Helm based deployments in a K8s environment.
- Manage the platform security including working with service accounts.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of container-based management systems (Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift).
- Experience with building and deploying containers to a production Kubernetes environment.
- Experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with ArgoCD to enable continuous delivery to K8s environments.
- Ability to manage Helm based deployments in a K8s environment.
- Experience with deploying containerized services into an Istio or related service mesh environment.
