As Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for researching our members' needs through user interviews, product metrics, and partnerships across Product, Data, Commercial Teams and Member Services. You will translate customer-centered discoveries into intuitive, engaging designs, from journey maps/blueprints and low fidelity wireframes to polished visual designs. Your mission is to help drive an exceptional member experience demonstrated by high member engagement, high product utilization, and strong user satisfaction leading to improved member outcomes.
What you'll do...
Transform unmet user needs into successful product launches through solid research and intuitive and engaging design solutions
Partner with Product and Design to conduct continuous discovery, and document member journeys to be shared and championed across the company
Proactively raise ideas and propose designs with the goal of continuously elevating the digital experience
Create low and high-fidelity mockups, applying user-centered principles
Test designs with users to evaluate efficacy and usability prior to development
Contribute to shared repositories of research findings and design rationales
Collaborate with engineers to determine feasibility of designs, advocating for best practices while evaluating tradeoffs and ensuring a smooth flow of production work
Maintain and evolve Progyny’s design system, ensuring all designs and components are consistent and easily accessible
Work cross-functionally with data, member services and commercial teams to communicate design decisions and ensure design strategy aligns with overall company goals
Stay current with new UX techniques and ensure designs decisions are based on industry best practices
About you…
7+ years of experience working in mobile and web product design
Online portfolio demonstrating your UX design process, from user research, through design solutioning and refinement activities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent professional experience
Expert level Figma skills
Experience leading structured ideation sessions (ex: IDEO models) with a focus on getting to plan
Familiarity with user experience research models and where to apply pragmatically to inform delivery efforts (ex: Cooper personas, Heuristics evaluations, prototyping, etc.)
Experience in analytic models for system/user impact effectiveness and applicability/limitations (A/B testing, conjoint analysis, NPS, TURF, etc.)
Strong understanding of agile workflows, systems and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Excellent project management skills, taking ownership to prioritize projects and ensure deliverables are completed on time
Strong communication skills and empathy, along with the ability to work independently
Data driven and highly analytical
Exceptional team player who embraces ambiguity and takes initiative to anticipate and solve problems
Experience in continuous discovery habits
Experience in the healthcare field (health insurance preferred)
Branding and/or illustration skills desirable

Our perks:
In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $145,000 - $155,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
