About the Role 

As Staff Product Designer of our Member Journey Experience, you’ll shape the future of the Hinge Health care experience by crafting features that cater to every unique member's needs, helping them overcome pain and reach their goals. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced Product Design leaders and cross-functional partners, employing user-centered design principles to create highly impactful, intuitive experiences. You’ll own the design of the member experience throughout the product development process, from helping define requirements and translating user research insights into actionable solutions, to interaction and UI design, prototyping, and visual design.   • Service ecosystem thinking: You’re able to understand, visualize and communicate broad service concepts and apply design thinking beyond the app to enhance service delivery end to end

  • Creativity & innovation: While data is important, you also have a strong creative streak and are able to ideate innovative solutions to complex and ambiguous user experience challenges

  • Collaboration & influence: You’re a strong collaborator, working closely with design peers, product managers, engineers, user researchers, and data scientists to ensure the user experience is seamless and effective

  • Passion for quality: You’re a strong advocate for your craft and quality user experience, from effective interaction design to delightful visual expression and high quality implementation

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Develop a vision for our product experience; identify and visualize opportunities to up-level our member experience to benefit both our users and our business 

  • Lead the development and delivery of solutions that meet intended goals and create outcomes that positively impact key metrics

  • Be a steward of great product design by ensuring solutions set high visual and interaction design quality standards

  • Identify needs and key opportunities for user input; help plan and conduct user research with our user research team with contextual interviews, think-alouds, A/B tests, surveys and analysis

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, care team members, and other designers to ensure designs drive desired UX, business, and technical outcomes

  • Mentor and grow fellow designers while evangelizing design practices and finding opportunities to elevate confidence in design across the larger company

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.

Qualificatons:

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience

  • A portfolio demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; strong expertise in applying interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows

  • Expert understanding of visual systems and practices, including layout, iconography, typography and have a curiosity and eye for pushing visual design in interfaces forward

  • Experience in leading product design from opportunity development, to concept, to shipment

  • A strong communicator and facilitator who can collaborate effectively on a global level with everyone from designers to engineers to leaders

  • Proven ability to communicate deep design thinking at all levels of the organization

  • Strong prototyping skills at multiple levels of fidelity and experience helping elevate prototyping quality and utilization across your teams in the past

  • The ability to design and document user flows and design components at a system level

  • Fluency with user research practices and ability translate insights into actions

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, industrial design, product design, service design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $177,600 - $266,400.
