Job Description

Title: Category Insights Intern

FLSA Classification: Non- Exempt

Department: Finance

Reports to: Category Insights Manager

Salary: $25/hour

Date: 2/2025

Job Summary:

The Category Insights Intern will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in data analysis and insights and contribute to meaningful projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their analytical skills and make an impact in the field of data analysis. The CI Intern will leverage internal data sources to generate meaningful insights for BeatBox and the ready-to-drink category.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
Conduct data analysis and generate insights to support decision-making processes.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize data trends and patterns.
Collaborate with team members to develop data-driven solutions to business challenges.
Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement based on data findings.
Participate in data validation and quality assurance efforts.
Contribute to the development of data analysis tools and methodologies.
Complete at least one case study.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel and Google Slides.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
Natural curiosity to learn about consumer sales industry trends and market landscape.
Basic knowledge of statistical concepts is a plus.

Education/Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a similar discipline).
Enrollment in an accredited university/college program or recent graduate.
1-3 years’ work experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
