Senior Developer (Remote from Europe)

Our client is a leading booking portal and travel agency, successfully operating since 2000 with offices across multiple European countries. They are now seeking a Back-End Developer to join their dynamic Tech team. This is a fully remote position offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to contribute to an industry-leading, innovative product.

Please note that this role is offered under a service agreement rather than an employment contract, providing greater flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-level web applications
• Collaborate with the CTO, CIO, and development team to implement and enhance technical solutions
• Manage version control using Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in back-end development
• Strong PHP expertise
• Proficiency in Git for version control
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL
• Ability to read and write technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Java with Spring Framework
• Familiarity with Symfony PHP frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Docker and virtualization
• Passion for learning and keeping up with the latest technologies
